As an insurance customer service and sales representative, your role combines two key functions : providing excellent customer service to existing clients and generating new sales opportunities.
Here's an overview of what your responsibilities might entail :
Customer Service :
- Handling inquiries : You'll assist clients with questions about their policies, coverage details, claims process, billing inquiries, and any other concerns they may have.
- Problem-solving : Addressing client issues or complaints effectively and efficiently, ensuring customer satisfaction and retention.
- Policy management : Updating client information, processing policy changes, and managing policy renewals.
- Claims support : Guiding clients through the claims process, assisting with claim submissions, and following up to ensure timely resolution.
Sales :
- Lead follow-up : Contacting leads generated through various channels such as inbound inquiries, referrals, or marketing campaigns.
- Needs assessment : Conducting thorough assessments of potential clients' insurance needs and recommending suitable coverage options.
- Presenting solutions : Explaining insurance products, coverage benefits, and pricing to prospective clients, tailoring your recommendations to meet their specific needs.
- Closing sales : Persuading prospects to purchase insurance policies and guiding them through the application process.
- Cross-selling and upselling : Identifying opportunities to offer additional insurance products or coverage enhancements to existing clients.
Relationship Building :
- Building rapport : Establishing trust and rapport with clients by demonstrating empathy, professionalism, and expertise.
- Client retention : Proactively reaching out to existing clients to review their coverage, address any concerns, and identify opportunities to enhance their insurance portfolio.
- Follow-up : Follow up with clients after sales or service interactions to ensure satisfaction and reinforce the value of their insurance coverage.
Documentation and Compliance :
- Maintaining accurate records : Documenting all client interactions, sales activities, and policy changes in the company's CRM system.
- Compliance adherence : Ensuring that all sales and customer service activities comply with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
To excel in this role, you'll need strong communication skills, a customer-centric mindset, and the ability to multitask effectively.
Being knowledgeable about various insurance products, industry trends, and regulatory guidelines is also essential. Additionally, having a proactive attitude toward sales and a genuine desire to help clients protect their assets and mitigate risks can contribute to your success in driving both customer satisfaction and sales growth.

Responsibilities
- Develop insurance quotes, make sales presentations, and close sales.
- Process customer policy change requests.
- Secure all Trailing Documents from customers.
- Handle all incoming claim calls from customers and follow-up.
- Immediately greet all customers, entering the office, in a friendly and helpful manner.
- Take premium payments from customers.
- Treat each customer contact as a cross and up-sell opportunity, including financial products.
