Cyber Security Analyst
Senior Cybersecurity Analyst
Salary Range : $150k - $160k
Work Schedule : 4 days onsite, 1 day remote
Location : Los Angeles, CA
POSITION PURPOSE : The Senior Cybersecurity Analyst is responsible for implementing cybersecurity strategies outlined in the company's roadmap to safeguard digital assets and operations.
Reporting to the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), this role executes the Information Security Program.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
- Conduct regular cybersecurity activities and maintain documentation
- Contribute to policy and procedure development
- Monitor and optimize cybersecurity solutions
- Generate cybersecurity reports and conduct vulnerability assessments
- Participate in risk assessment activities and collaborate across departments
- Define and measure key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Oversee cybersecurity training programs and maintain Incident Response playbooks
- Coordinate incident response activities and verify vendor security compliance
EDUCATION : Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field. Industry certifications (e.
g., CEH, OSCP, GIAC) preferred. Strong technical background required.
YEARS OF EXPERIENCE : 4-6 years of experience as an Information Security Analyst, with hands-on experience in vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and collaboration with technical teams and stakeholders.
SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS :
- Proficiency in security technologies such as VA / PT, WAPT, XDR, firewall, and SIEM solutions
- Understanding of security concepts including network segmentation, DMZ, and cryptography
- Strong background in Active Directory, networking, GNU / Linux, and scripting languages
- Critical thinking, problem-solving, analytical, proactive, and detail-oriented skills
