We are looking for a Licensed Professional Engineer to join #TeamBergmann as a Senior Project Manager!
What You'll Be Doing : The Project Manager helps to mine and manage task orders from USACE and coordinate project work regionally and nationwide.
Project Managers manage resources, schedules, financials, management issues, risks, and project change requests to ensure successful and on-time project delivery.
What We're Looking For : Our ideal candidate is a licensed Professional Engineer and has 10+ years' experience managing task orders for Flood Risk Management, Ecosystem and Coastal Restoration, Dam Safety and / or Waterway Structures type projects.
Previous experience managing technical staff, attending client and joint venture meetings, and recruiting technical staff is also a must.
A bachelor's degree in structural, civil, hydraulic / hydrologic, and / or water resources engineering is required, but a master's degree or PPM certification is preferred.
Some travel is required for this position and experience with business development is a must. The ideal candidate has been in a client facing role before, has project management experience, and has at least ten years of experience working on USACE and / or SFWMD projects and contracts.
Coastal and / or island engineering experience is a plus!
This position has growth potential for a Regional Civil Works Principal or Practice Leader Position in the future!
What You'll Need to Be Successful :
- Ability to lead multi-discipline projects for public sector clients
- Proven ability to manage and lead multi-disciplinary teams meeting schedule, budget, and quality goals
- Proven ability to identify, pursue, and win work from existing and new clients
- Ability to work remotely with team members in other offices
- Familiarity with construction engineering services and alternative delivery procurement methods
- Strong communication skills
- Business development experience
- Mentoring and coaching experience
Our Project Managers also :
- Ensure the success of the projects under his / her management
- Handle all aspects for a project
- Provide leadership to individuals within and outside of Bergmann
- Plan, organize, and supervise the work and workload of project staff.
- Monitor project costs to ensure that project is delivered within budget, fulfills customer expectations, maintains profitability, and / or aligns with the company strategic objectives.
