Join our team at Hot Java Bar as a Facilities Maintenance Worker. This role is essential in maintaining the charm and functionality of our cozy coffee haven in the heart of St. Louis.
Key Responsibilities :
General Maintenance :
Perform routine checks and maintenance on our cafe's equipment, including coffee machines, HVAC systems, and lighting.
Handle minor repairs and ensure all fixtures are in working order.
Safety and Compliance :
Adhere to all health and safety regulations, especially those pertinent to food service environments.
Implement safety measures to protect staff and customers.
Cleanliness and Aesthetics :
Oversee the cleanliness of our space, including floors, windows, and outdoor seating areas.
Assist in minor aesthetic improvements, like painting or touch-ups.
Emergency Response :
Respond to and fix any urgent maintenance issues that arise during business hours.
Inventory Management :
Keep track of maintenance supplies and tools, ensuring we always have what's needed.
Reporting :
Maintain logs of maintenance activities and report any significant issues or suggestions for improvements to management.

Experience :
Experience in facilities maintenance, preferably in a food service or retail environment.
Skills :
Proficiency in basic plumbing, electrical, and HVAC troubleshooting.
Ability to handle physical tasks such as lifting heavy objects and cleaning.
Good problem-solving skills for quick and effective repairs.
Qualifications :
Certification in relevant maintenance fields is a plus.
Valid driver's license for occasional errands or supply runs.
