Soliant Health, a leading healthcare staffing provider, is currently seeking a dedicated and passionate School Counselor or Social Worker to join our esteemed client, a reputable school district in Gilcrest, Colorado.
This is a full-time position, working onsite for the upcoming school year.
Responsibilities :
- Provide individual and group counseling to students, addressing their academic, personal, social, and emotional needs.
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify students' specific needs and develop appropriate intervention plans.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to support students' overall well-being and academic success.
- Implement evidence-based strategies and programs to enhance students' social skills, behavior management, and emotional regulation.
- Advocate for students and facilitate communication between school, home, and community resources.
- Participate in multidisciplinary teams, including special education teams, to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and 504 plans.
- Stay updated on the latest research and best practices in counseling and social work to provide effective support to students.
Qualifications :
- Master's degree in School Counseling, Social Work, or a related field.
- Valid state licensure or certification as a School Counselor or Social Worker (or eligible to obtain).
- Experience working in a school setting or with school-aged children preferred.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to establish rapport with students, families, and staff.
- Proficient in using technology for record-keeping and communication purposes.
- A genuine passion for supporting students' well-being and academic success.
