  • Job Title : Med / Surg Float Pool Registered Nurse (RN)\n
  • Location : Charleston, SC 29425 (South Carolina nursing jobs)\n
  • Healthcare Setting : Main hospital and Ashley River Tower\n
  • Contract Length : 13 weeks\n
  • Start Date : November 3, 2025\n
  • End Date : February 2, 2026\n
  • Shift : 3x12-hour night shifts (19 : 00 – 07 : 30), 36 hours per week\n
  • Weekend Requirement : Every other weekend\n
  • Holiday Rotation : Required\n
  • Guaranteed Hours : Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks\n
  • Patient Ratios : Typically 1 : 6\n
  • Charting System : EPIC\n
  • Scrub Colors : Solid Royal Blue or White top with Royal Blue bottoms\n
  • Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $1420-$1530\n

    • \n\nRegistered Nurse Qualifications\n \n

  • Active South Carolina RN License or Multi-State / Compact State Registered Nurse License (in hand or proof of application required)\n
  • Minimum 2 years of recent Medical / Surgical RN experience\n
  • BLS certification required\n
  • Experience providing clinical support to adult patient populations\n
  • Ability to float between Med / Surg units as needed\n
  • Proficient in isolation precautions, IV management, oxygen administration, and rapid response / code team participation\n
  • Flu vaccine required (medical / religious exemptions accepted)\n
  • Willingness to participate in emergency response teams during hurricane season (June–November)\n

  • Deliver high-quality, compassionate care to adult patients across multiple Medical / Surgical units\n
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans in collaboration with interdisciplinary healthcare teams\n
  • Administer medications, manage IVs, and monitor patient progress\n
  • Utilize EPIC for accurate and timely clinical documentation\n
  • Respond to rapid response and code situations as needed\n
  • Float between assigned units based on hospital needs\n
  • Maintain compliance with hospital policies, infection control, and safety protocols\n
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and complete orientation modules (approx. 4 hours pre-start)\n
