A law firm seeks a Mid-Level IP Litigation Associate Attorney for their Palo Alto, CA location.
Job Overview :
The Mid-Level IP Litigation Associate Attorney will play a vital role in handling intellectual property matters, especially patent and / or trade secret litigation, and providing counsel to clients.
Duties :
- Advocate for clients in intellectual property litigation cases, emphasizing patent and / or trade secret disputes.
- Conduct extensive legal research and analysis to support litigation strategies and client advisement.
- Prepare and draft various legal documents such as pleadings, motions, briefs, and client correspondences.
- Participate actively in all stages of litigation, including discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation.
- Collaborate closely with senior attorneys and partners to develop effective case strategies and manage client relationships.
- Offer legal guidance and assistance to clients on a diverse range of intellectual property issues.
Requirements :
- Must be admitted to a State Bar.
- Strong academic background in law and undergraduate studies is highly valued.
- Preferred undergraduate degree in Biology, Chemistry, Materials Science, Genetics, Biochemistry, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering.
- 3-5 years of experience in intellectual property matters, particularly in patent and / or trade secret litigation.
- Demonstrated strong work ethic, leadership skills, and willingness to assume increased responsibilities.
- Exceptional research and analytical capabilities.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Comprehensive understanding of legal and business principles relevant to intellectual property cases.
Education / Certifications :
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to a State Bar.
Skills :
- Proven track record in intellectual property litigation.
- Proficiency in legal research and writing.
- Strong analytical abilities.
- Effective communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
