Reporting Structure

The Assistant Designer reports directly to the Director, Men's Design. This is a part-time position, 3 days a week.

What You'll Be Responsible For :

Prepare for Design fittings by specing all proto samplesUpdate design hand-sketches throughout season as changes occurAttend weekly Work In Progress (WIPs) meetings - accountable for maintaining records of all design changesSet up initial seasonal linesheets for each collection and maintain as changes occur throughout developmentMaintain updated Bill of Materials (BOMs)Prepare seasonal color - once color pallets have been finalized, create smaller pallet boards to share with cross-functional teamsCreate seasonal swatch cards for sketch boardsAssist with internal look book shoots by supporting the Chief Creative Officer in creating the material detailing all looksAssist Chief Creative Officer in creating digital inspiration boards for marketMaintain seasonal swatch library and inspiration closetPerform additional duties and assignment as requestedWhat You'll Bring :

Must have a 4-year College degree in Fashion Apparel DesignMust have minimum 6 months to 1 year of experience in Apparel Design work experience (internships included)Must have excellent working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and ExcelMust have excellent hand-sketching skillsMust be detail oriented individual and a strong self-starter.
