Job Overview

As one of the oldest medical schools in the country, the UC College of Medicine has a reputation for training best-in-class health care professionals and developing cutting-edge procedures and research that improves the health and clinical care of patients.

The College of Medicine is seeking a full time HR Coordinator with the potential to hire at a Senior HR Coordinator dependent on experience to perform a variety of human resources support responsibilities for the College of Medicine (COM) and UC Physicians, Inc.

UCP). This position will ensure the delivery of excellent customer service, emphasizing communication, teamwork and collaboration and seek ways to support and develop standardized processes and common procedures.

Essential Functions

  • Coordinate HR functions within an assigned area of expertise for the COM HR team.
  • Create and maintain COM and UCP Human Resources processes, procedures, forms, and databases.
  • Work with Talent Acquisition on job postings, recruitment, and selection process.
  • Assist or coordinate payroll processing for organizational unit.
  • Initiate Personnel Change Requests (PCR) for assigned organizational units.
  • Assist with implementing policies to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
  • Must maintain confidentiality with high level of integrity. Responsible for accurate and timely storage of HR-related documents in accordance with UC’s Records Retention Schedule.
  • Manage COM HR reporting and data sharing needs, per established procedures.
  • Perform related duties based on departmental need. This job description can be changed at any time.

Required Education

HR Coordinator

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Four (4) years of relevant work experience and / or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement.

Senior HR Coordinator

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Seven (7) years of relevant work experience and / or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement.

Required Experience

HR Coordinator

None.

Senior HR Coordinator

Three (3) years of related Human Resources experience.

Physical Requirements / Work Environment

Office environment / no specific unusual physical or environmental demands.
