Description
A globally well-established company in the manufacture of fragrance oils industry is looking for a full-time Regulatory Affairs Specialist.
As an integral part of our global team, candidate will be responsible for the independent prioritization and processing of requests for regulatory information and legal documentation by internal and external customers including sample lab / shipping, production / logistics, customer service, perfumers, evaluators, sales, and clients.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following :
- Using skills and knowledge gained through education or similar years of experience in the industry, perform evaluations to complete compliance determinations according to applicable regulations, legislative requirements and customer guidelines for internal and external customers.
- Utilize Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software to generate standard regulatory documents including Safety Data Sheet, Technical Data Sheet, Certificate of Analysis, EU Allergen statement, IFRA Certificate (International Fragrance Association) and compliance statements.
- Responsible for understanding, interpreting, and applying customer restrictions and regulations across product categories and jurisdictions.
- Review fragrance formulations for compliance. Understand technical requirements and provide accurate responses to requests for regulatory information and documents.
- Various other technical or regulatory-related duties as they arise.
To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies :
- Basic knowledge of fragrance laboratory and manufacturing procedures, fragrance regulations, and regulations for related consumer products
- Accuracy in all aspects of regulatory compliance evaluations
- Discretion and judgement in written and verbal responses to information requests
- Basic understanding of chemical structures and nomenclature
- PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) software proficiency
- Technical comprehension and interpretation skills of regulatory content
- Practical application of technical requirements
- Team support and excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Project experience and collaboration
- Excellence in quality and customer service
Requirement :
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or related science field with knowledge of fragrance ingredients, formulations, and applicable regulations preferred.
- Minimum of three (3) years of related experience
- Englishlanguage fluency. Spanish or French a plus
