Senior Platform Engineer
Pay Range : $65 / hour to $71 / hour
Job Overview :
We are looking for a Senior Platform Engineer to join our client's Runtime Platform Group. In this role, you will build the company's FedRAMP-authorized environment for U.
S. Federal Government projects.
As a Senior Platform Engineer, youll be on a team building a secure, compliant SaaS platform for Federal government-led construction projects.
This will involve building cloud infrastructure and deploying cloud-native applications and services in a dedicated environment that meets all controls for, and is authorized for use at, the FedRAMP Moderate level.
The impact of this team is wide as it touches all aspects of our client's growth, and our work is a strategic priority for the company in 2024 and 2025.

This position reports to the Runtime Platform Software Architect and will be based remotely within the Continental United States.

Responsibilities :
What youll do :
- Collaborate closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to define, build, and document the cloud compute, storage, and network resources needed to run our SaaS platform in an AWS Govcloud region.
- Continually ensure our processes and results comply with the FedRAMP Moderate level of controls.
- Deploy and configure business-critical platform services for networking, secrets, observability, and Infrastructure-as-Code.
- Build and support CI / CD systems for rapidly deploying cloud infrastructure in a highly secure environment.
- Engineer resilient systems that support 24x365 uptime at a 99.95% availability level.
- Build and test disaster recovery mechanisms for systems and data. Requirements for the Role :
What were looking for :
This position requires the ability to access federal environments and / or have access to protected federal data. As a condition of employment for this position, the successful candidate must be able to submit documentation establishing U.
S. Person status (e.g. a U.S. Citizen, National, Lawful Permanent Resident, Refugee, or Asylee. 22 CFR 120.15) located in continental US.
6+ years of platform development experience, at least some of which are in a moderate-to-large-scale environment (>
1000 hosts, petabytes of data).
- Extensive experience with AWS cloud services, including IAM, EC2, EKS, VPC internetworking, RDS, and ElastiCache.
- Proficient with Terraform.
- Proficient with Kubernetes and Helm. Proficiency with ArgoCD is a plus.
- Confident in one or more common platform software development languages such as Python, Golang, or Ruby.
- Familiarity with cloud observability, logging, and telemetry
- Experience working in an Agile Environment.
