Vaco Boston is partnered with a hospitality management company search of a detail-oriented Accounts Payable staff member to join our growing accounting team.
In this role, you would be responsible for biweekly payment runs, maintaining accurate vendor records, reconciling statements, and various other support to ensure accurate month end records.
Key Responsibilities :
- Manages activity in Accounts Payable automated system
- Input invoices into ERP System as needed
- Process outgoing payments in compliance with established financial policies and procedures
- Manage Vendor inquiries in a courteous and timely manner
- Identify and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues
- Enforces established policies and procedures for accounts payable function
- Process intercompany transactions between properties
- Review vendor statements and assist with reconciliation
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and requirements related to accounts payable processes, such as W-9 forms and sales tax
- Establish and maintain relationships with new and existing vendors
- Performs other duties as required
- Special projects as necessary
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree, Accounting preferred
- 2 years of Accounts Payable experience
- Previous hotel accounting experience a plus
- Experience with multi entity accounting
- Proficient working knowledge of MS Office programs
- Experience with Sage Intact accounting software a plus
- Team player with great interpersonal skills
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Ability to communicate at different levels within the organization
- Strong multi-tasking abilities, handle multiple priorities and work under pressure
- Possess the highest level of integrity and confidentiality
- Highly organized, efficient and detail oriented
- Regular and reliable attendance
- Ability to work independently and well with other team members
- Knowledge of basic accounting principals
