Pay Range
$33,800.00-$46,500.00 Annual
This is the base salary pay range that an applicant can expect to make upon hire. Pay within this range will vary based upon relevant experience, skills, and education among other factors.
In addition, this position is eligible for an incentive bonus.
At the Johns Manville Tucson, AZ facility, we are a Full-Service Metal Fabrication Facility with a face paced production environment .

Johns Manville is currently seeking qualified applicants for the position of Welding / Fabrication Trainee at its Tucson Plant.
The purpose of the trainee role will be for a successful candidate to gain real world, hands-on experience in the welding career field.
A successful candidate will be currently enrolled in or recently having completed a technical training program with an emphasis in welding.
This position offers :
- Salary starts at $18.50 / hr based on background and experience

- This position will be eligible for a flexible work schedule as to accommodate on-going education. Candidates should anticipate that the bulk of work hours will be accomplished on the weekend shift (Friday-Sunday).

What you bring to the team :
- High School Diploma.
- Recently completed or currently enrolled in a technical training program for welding technologies.
- Safety Orientated.
- Honest, reliable and able to manage own workload against given priorities
- Mechanically competent.
- High level of personal integrity works well in a team.
- Good written and verbal communications skills.
- Adaptable, willing to learn & apply new skills.
- Must provide own basic hand tools within 30 days of hire. (See attached minimum requirement).
Physical Requirements :
- Must be able to climb stairs and safely access process machinery and controls on a multi-level manufacturing line.
- Must be able to safely lift equipment / material of moderate weight (50 lbs.).
- Must be able to wear plant required Personal Protective Equipment. (respirator, hearing protection, safety shoes, safety glasses, etc.)
