The candidate will be an active member of a team; responsible for providing an exceptional patient experience and will need to have the flexibility to fill various roles in the office, including :
- Obtain and document chief complaint, history of present illness and review of systems including vital signs, medication history, social history, surgical history and family history
- Review patient charts for needs assessment
- Deliver routine in-office diagnostic test and provide care as directed by the physician
- Document in electronic medical records
- Authorizing drug refills as directed
- Performing electrocardiograms
- Educating patients by providing medication, diet information, and treatment instructions
- Updating immunization records
- Returning patient calls, triage patients
- Medication prior authorizations
- Maintaining safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following, and enforcing standards and procedures
- Maintaining job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; participating in professional organizations .
Candidate must have excellent clinical skills with knowledge of health promotion, excellent written documentation and verbal communication skills a must .
Desired candidate should be a self-starter with at least 2 years of experience in a medical office with direct patient contact and electronic medical records.
CMA pay range : $18-$22 hourly
LPN pay : $25 hourly
