Job Description and Responsibilities

Visas Global Buyer Product organization works cross-functionally with Visas global and regional teams to enhance the issuance, usage, and engagement of Visa consumer payment credentials.

Within Global Buyer organization, the Buyer Digital Product and Platform Architecture team plays a critical role in building new products and platforms as well as enhancing existing ones, with a focus on enhancing the VISA core offerings and enabling the enablers to build innovative products leveraging these platforms.

As a key member of this team, you will develop, enhance and maintain Visas core products, platforms, and digital APIs used by large financial institutions, emerging fintech players and challenger banks around the world.

On a day-to-day basis, you will work internal and external stakeholders to detail requirements, write user stories and prioritize features on product roadmap.

You will be responsible for acceptance of product enhancements through demos and user acceptance testing. You will also be responsible for stakeholder management, user training, writing implementation guides and supporting client implementations.

The role requires the candidate to be comfortable with supporting the product user community, triaging, and owning any product related operational issues, and having an aptitude and desire to be very hands on with presentations, data and reporting, modern webservice development and UI / UX design.

You should be able to work with cross functional teams spanned across multiple geographies and time zones. You have a product ownership attitude and are ready to do whatever it takes to integrate teams together for product launch and support.

Responsibilities

  • Working with product leaders to provide key input to define payments and product platform strategy
  • Writing requirements, transform business requirements into detailed use cases
  • Prioritizing features in an agile way as market needs and development resources evolve
  • Engaging with cross functional engineering teams to determine the best technical solution and implementation timelines
  • Sprint planning and grooming of user story backlog
  • Designing user experiences and building mockups for product ideas
  • User Acceptance Testing
  • Define KPIs, track and measure success against KPIs and SLA
  • Building presentations for executives, internal and external stakeholders
  • Building business cases and pricing models, supporting commercialization efforts
  • Writing simple database queries
  • Working with operation and engineering teams to develop and roll out operational support models
  • Partnering with business and technology teams globally to communicate and support sales enablement for new features, listen and gather feedback, and cultivate insights to inform product roadmaps

2 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD, or PhD) University Recruiting Only : Masters Degree without experience

6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.

Opinionated about good software service development methodologies, developer engagement and modern, RESTful API architectures

Able to take an analytical and data-driven approach towards product prioritization and delivery

Well versed in distributed systems design, developer experience, API usability, and performance concerns

Technical Degree in CS / Engineering or demonstrated equivalent technical expertise through past experience

Experience with Payment Network systems or general issuer card processing is a plus

Familiar with the level of security, privacy, compliance and associated risk-management considerations required to build highly trustworthy and reliable internet-based financial applications

Excited to work on APIs and services that could enable more convenient and reliable payment services for hundreds of millions of people around the world

Subject matter expertise on global fintech trends and players is an asset

Effective and empathic communicator in any context from executive boardroom to technical war room environments

Team oriented, collaborative, and flexible enough to jump into whatever needs to get done to ship product and deliver great outcomes for customers

Flex Work Arrangement : This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both home and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office three days a week, Monday (Sunday in some countries where Sunday is the start of the week) and Wednesdays.

Wednesdays are designated as in-office collaboration days. The third day in the office will be decided based on team needs and determined in partnership with senior leadership.
