Schedule :

• 8 : 00 AM 5 : 00 PM or 9 : 00 AM 6 : 00 PM (5 days of the week) - Must be flexible to work weekends
• Flexibility to start earlier or later as needed
• Some weekends are required in Bellport, NY especially during the summer (No overnight is required) transportation expenses will be covered by the family

Job Summary :

A young private family in New York City is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Housekeeper / Cook to ensure the cleanliness and organization of their home while also preparing simple, healthy meals

The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who takes pride in their work, enjoys working around children, and has a strong passion for both housekeeping and cooking

The candidate should be confident in following recipes and creating nutritious meals that meet the family's needs, particularly for the children.

Responsibilities :

• Housekeeping :
• Perform all aspects of general housekeeping, including deep cleaning of bedrooms and bathrooms, vacuuming, dusting, sanitizing surfaces, proper garbage disposal, bed making, and organizing personal spaces.
• Manage laundry duties, including washing, drying, ironing, and organizing clothes based on seasonality.
• Oversee and execute organizing projects within the home, creating and maintaining efficient storage solutions for the family.
• Assist with packing and unpacking for family travel.
• Maintain an inventory of household cleaning supplies and place orders as needed.
• Cooking :
• Prepare simple, healthy meals for the family, including light breakfasts for the children (e.g., eggs) and family-style meals (e.

g., grilled fish or chicken with vegetables).

• Confidently follow recipes to create nutritious meals that align with the family's dietary preferences and needs.
• Assist in meal planning and grocery shopping, ensuring the kitchen is stocked with fresh ingredients.
• Handle occasional meal preparation for special dietary requirements or requests.

Requirements :

• Relevant work experience as a private Housekeeper with cooking responsibilities.
• Excellent references from current and previous employers.
• Must be detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills.
• Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Flexibility to work overtime, including some nights and weekends as required.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and collaborate with other household staff.
• Must be extremely hands-on with a strong work ethic and a keen eye for detail.
• US work authorization is required.
