OPERATIONS MANAGER WHIPPANY NJ
We are looking for an Operations Manager to join our growing team in Whippany, NJ. The Operations Manager oversees strategic planning, operational leadership, safety and compliance, and P&L management.
The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical knowledge, some background with HVAC systems and a demonstrated track record of leadership, growing a business, and implementing vision and strategies for growth.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Drive business results and improve market efficiencies by monitoring Key Performance Indicators and developing and executing plans to meet and exceed goals.
- Manage P&L activities, analyze results and identify appropriate countermeasures.
- Supervise the daily activities of managers.
- Maintain project timelines to ensure tasks are accomplished effectively.
- Develop, implement, and maintain budgetary and resource allocation plans.
- Implement and enforce company safety programs, policies, and procedures to minimize safety incidents and violations.
- Enforce company policies / procedures and promote ethical business practices
- Delegate responsibilities to the best-qualified employees and enforce all policies, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines, training programs, and cultural values
- Cultivate strategic internal and external business partnerships
- Provide regular and consistent leadership to the team by communicating values, strategies, and objectives while providing motivation, training, and guidance / coaching.
- Actively engage in talent management processes, including recruitment strategy, performance management, employee development, etc.
- Other duties as required
QUALIFICATIONS :
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related discipline
- 5-10 years' related experience, including at least 3-5 years in a management role
- Proven knowledge of HVAC operations is preferred
- Ability to review, analyze and act on operational KPI's and P&L statement data
- Ability to interact with vendors and customers to drive top-line growth and margin targets
- Must have strong decision-making skills with the capacity to analyze information and determine appropriate actions
- Strong leadership skills; can mentor and develop associates while driving accountability
- Strong organizational skills; ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong PC skills including Word, Excel, Outlook and the ability to learn new programs
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills; honest, humble, curious, impactful, and resilient.
- Exceptional communication skills; ability to provide leadership and guidance to others.
- Well organized, detail oriented and metrics-driven with a performance improvement focused orientation.
