Role : Sr. Healthcare Business Analyst
Location : Washington, DC. (Remote Till Covid)
Duration : 06 Months Plus
Visa : USC & GC only (As per EC requirement)
End Client : Confidential till resume selection
Rate : $55
Job description :
Hiring Manager notes :
- Need folks who know how to write requirements and User Stories (Gherkin). No ramp up time.
- Must be very well versed in agile & waterfall methodologies and JIRA.
- Need to come out of the Healthcare insurance industry because this group is implementing benefits.
- Benefits and claims processing background is KEY.
- Business processes are waterfall. Delivery method is agile.
- Must be able to conduct interviews, collaborate with stakeholders.
- Must be from healthcare, Medicare or Medicaid background and proficient in Claims processing / adjudication, HIPAA, EDI specifically 835, 837..
Skills required for this role :
- Strong demonstrated analytical skills applied to business software solutions maintenance and / or development.
- Knowledge of the software development standards and practices.
- Demonstrated ability to find efficiencies and improve processes.
- Proven ability to determine systemic process faults and improve overall process performance across organizations.
- Understanding of claims adjudication, particularly in a health care environment
- Understanding of health industry diagnosis, procedure and revenue codes and their application
- Strong business analytical skills.
- Strong process analysis skills
- Strong process documentation skills
- Excellent communication / writing skills,
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Attentive to detail, highly -organized, and able to multi-task
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Preferred :
- Experience with claims adjudication in the Federal Employee Program Health Benefit Plan
- Experience in a software application development environment in an analytical role
- Bachelors (Health administration; business administration; software engineering or related degree required)
