Volt is hiring Tool & Die Makers for our client in Moscow, IA.

As a Tool and Die Maker you will :

• Operate manually controlled machine tools (such as lathes, milling machines, grinding machines, and jig grinders), power tools (such as die grinders and rotary tools), and hand tools (such as files and honing stones).
• Reading and interpreting blueprints, design schematics, and CAD drawings.
• Visualizing and computing metal shapes and tolerances.
• Designing jigs and templates as work aids in the fabrication of parts.
• Measuring and marking metal stock for machining.
• Setting up machine tools such as drills, lathes, grinders, and milling machines.
• Cutting and shaping blocks to specified dimensions.
• Filling, grinding, and shimming metals to ensure a smooth finish.
• Fitting and assembling tools and die parts.
• Inspecting finished dies and tools for defects, smoothness, and contour deformities.
• Conducting test runs with completed tools and dies.

This is a full time opportunity

Schedule : 7am to 330pm

Days : Monday-Friday

Plus overtime as needed

The ideal candidate will have :

• Highschool diploma or equivalent
• Experience operating lathes, milling machines, grinding machines, and jig grinders.
• Experience working in Manufacturing environment doing similar duties
• Skills with AutoCad or SolidWorks a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, design schematics, and CAD drawings.

Pay Rate : $30-$40 per hour

Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
