We are seeking an Animal Care Attendant for a Fortune 500 Company in St. Paul, MN to join our team immediately.
Hours : 8 : 00am to 4 : 30pm
8 : 00am to 4 : 30pm
Please note : Animal Care activities may include weekends
Job Duties and Responsibilities :
- Provide animal care for preclinical animals
- Must be comfortable working with animals
- Responsible for daily maintenance of animal health and husbandry
- Provide enrichment to animals daily including exercise, toys and social housing
- Feed all animals according to department standard operating procedures
- Follow all standard operating procedures and observe safety practices
- Clean all animal housing areas daily and disinfect each housing area weekly to include walls, flooring and feed bins
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in all areas of the lab
- Responsible for receipt of department deliveries
- Communicate all health status issues immediately to Veterinary Staff
- Document all activities in animal records and forms daily
- May assist Veterinary Technicians and Veterinarians as needed
- Maintain compliance to all quality requirements
Animal Care Attendant Job Requirements :
- High School Diploma or GED
- Animal Care Attendant must have animal experience, large animal experience preferred
- On the job training provided, certification not required
