Job Description
We are looking for Speech and Language Pathologist Assistants (SLPAs) in the South Denver Area. As a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant, you will work under the guidance of the supervising speech and language pathologist, assisting in various aspects of speech and language interventions for students with disabilities.
Additionally, fostering positive community relations among different stakeholders is a key aspect of this role.
Responsibilities :
- Independently execute speech and language interventions for designated students, incorporating oral, written manual, and augmentative communication methods as directed by the Speech and Language Pathologist.
- Provide clerical and technical support to the Speech and Language Pathologist, including material preparation, equipment maintenance, and ensuring compliance with Individualized Education Program (IEP) paperwork.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services and student progress in alignment with established intervention plans, reporting information to the supervising Speech and Language Pathologist.
- Collaborate with the Speech and Language Pathologist, school personnel, and Special Education (SPED) team members regarding student services.
- Represent the Speech and Language Pathologist in IEP meetings and other team gatherings as directed and permitted by the supervising Speech and Language Pathologist.
- Assist in delivering services to students with disabilities, encompassing scheduling, screening, observations, instruction, and data collection in various settings, including classrooms and individual or small group environments.
- Fulfill other related duties as assigned or requested.
- Document health-related services in the Designated Medicaid documentation system for the School Medicaid Reimbursement Program. Benefits :

Qualifications :
- First Aid & CPR Certification - American Heart Association
- Speech-Language Pathology Assistant Certification (SLPA) - ASHA and Colorado Department of Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Communication Disorders or Speech Pathology
- Pass a background check before the hiring date
- Applicants must have professional proficiency in English
