About The Position
Job Title : Surgical Technologist Job Specialty : OR Tech - 3rd Floor Operating Room Job Duration : 16 Weeks Shift : 5x7.
5 Days 37.5 Guaranteed Hours : 37.5 hours per week Experience : Minimum 1 year License : Required Certifications : BLS, Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) via NBSTSA Must-Have : General, Ortho, & GYN experience.
Robotics experience preferred. Open to first-time travelers. Job Description : Responsible for setting up the operating room and organizing equipment for surgical cases.
- Assist in surgical procedures by scrubbing and providing necessary tools to the surgical team.- Perform room turnovers and ensure cleanliness and readiness for the next procedure.
- Assist other staff as needed and collaborate effectively with the surgical team.- Expected to be familiar with a wide range of cases, including general, orthopedic, neuro, spine, GYN, ENT, ophthalmology, urology, podiatry, vascular, and robotic surgeries (DaVinci XI).
- No requirements for weeknight, weekend, or holiday on-call duties.- No floating to other units is necessary.- Participate in a unit-specific orientation program with a preceptor for 2-5 shifts.
- Utilize the Allscripts charting system for documentation.- Scrubs provided by the facility with access to Scrub X using an assigned card.
