YOUR ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
Job Summary :
We are seeking a highly skilledand experienced Director of Supply Chain Planning to lead our North Americanoperations. This role will oversee all aspects of forecasting and demandplanning, inventory planning, and sales, inventory, and operations planning(SIOP) to ensure seamless and efficient supply chain operations aligned withour strategic business objectives.
The Director of SupplyChain Planning will drive the overall planning activities within thesupply chain, encompassing demand forecasting, inventory management, andcoordination with sales and marketing.
This role involves strategic leadership,cross-functional collaboration, and continuous improvement to optimize supplychain efficiency and effectiveness.
Job Description :
Forecasting and Demand Planning :
- Lead the development and implementation of marketanalysis, data analytics, and product life cycle management to generateaccurate demand forecasts.
- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams toincorporate insights and promotional activities into demand planning.
- Utilize advanced forecasting tools and methodologies toenhance prediction accuracy and reliability.
Inventory Planning :
- Develop and implement optimization models, safety stocklevels, and replenishment strategies.
- Classify and prioritize inventory to ensure optimalstock levels and minimize holding costs.
- Oversee vendor selection and evaluation to maintain arobust and responsive supply chain.
- Sales, Inventory, and OperationsPlanning (SIOP) :
- Drive integrated business planning and capacityplanning to align with overall business goals.
- Set and monitor inventory level targets and engage inscenario planning to anticipate and mitigate potential disruptions.
- Lead SKU rationalization efforts to streamline productofferings and enhance supply chain efficiency.
Supply Chain Coordination andCompliance :
- Manage operational supplier relationships and ensurecross-functional coordination to achieve seamless supply chain execution.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements andimplement sustainability initiatives to support corporate social responsibilitygoals.
Continuous Improvement :
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement byidentifying inefficiencies and proposing innovative solutions.
- Keep abreast of the latest trends and advancements insupply chain planning to maintain a competitive edge.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and adjuststrategies to achieve key performance indicators (KPIs)
Team Management and Development :
- Clearly define roles and responsibilities for teammembers and align them with departmental and organizational objectives.
- Provide mentorship, guidance, and structured trainingto develop team capabilities.
- Promote a collaborative atmosphere that encouragesknowledge sharing and collective problem-solving.
Stakeholder Collaboration :
- Engage with cross-functional teams, including sales,marketing, finance, and operations, to ensure cohesive supply chain execution.
- Collaborate with senior management to align supplychain planning activities with company objectives.
YOUR PROFILE
Education and Experience :
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business,or a related field. An advanced degree or MBA is advantageous.
- Minimum of 13+ years of progressive experience insupply chain planning roles with a track record of leadership.
- Experience in international settings and managinglarge, complex supply chain operations.
Technical Skills :
- Advanced proficiency in supply chain software andplatforms, including ERP systems and demand forecasting tools.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to deriveactionable insights from data.
Soft Skills :
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonalskills.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strongbusiness relationships.
- Proven problem-solving and strategic thinkingabilities.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage andmotivate a diverse team.
Preferred Experience :
- Experience in the industrial or chemical manufacturingor distribution industry, particularly those that are multinational or globaldistributors and operate in a highly matrixed environment.
- Excellent verbal and written English skills areessential. Skills in Spanish or other languages are a plus.
Travel :
Approximately 10% - 30% domestic and internationaltravel required.
