Job Summary
Under the direct supervision of the Animal Services Manager, the Canine Animal Care Technician is responsible for the daily care, welfare, and enrichment of dogs housed in the shelter. This includes cleaning and maintaining kennels, monitoring animal health, providing play and enrichment opportunities, and assisting the public with inquiries related to adoptions, lost and found pets, and shelter services.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean and disinfect kennels, dog runs, and surrounding areas in accordance with disease control protocols.
- Ensure the health, safety, and overall well-being of all animals in the shelters care.
- Perform routine facility maintenance and groundskeeping duties.
- Provide enrichment, socialization, and exercise opportunities for shelter dogs.
- Assist members of the public in person and over the phone regarding :

Lost and found animalsAnimal adoptionsAccurately input and maintain records, reports, and documentation using shelter software and forms.Minimum Qualifications
