Located in Greater Boston, MassBay is a comprehensive, open-access community college offering associate degrees and certificate programs on three campuses in Wellesley Hills, Framingham, and Ashland, Massachusetts.
Position Summary :
All open positions are Hybrid & On-site, and employees are expected to be on-site as per their approved schedule.

This is a part-time, student employment position with no benefits.
The Career Services Student Intern will act as a student ambassador and representative for the Career Services office. In this internship, the intern will build a comprehensive understanding of how Career Services supports students and use this knowledge to effectively promote Career Services to the MassBay student community.
This may include engaging with students in-person and online, creating and managing social media content, developing and distributing promotional materials, and providing training to student leaders and campus groups about our services.
In addition, the intern will provide administrative and operational support to the Career Services office and as needed, front desk coverage and administrative support for the Student Development office.
They will help manage Handshake, MassBay's job and internship platform. The intern will offer their own insight and solicit feedback from MassBay students on Career Services programming, materials, and operations.
This student will assist the team with the logistics and execution of college-wide events providing day-of in-person support for events as their schedule allows.
This internship also allows the intern to pursue an independent study of a career / workforce development topic of personal interest and present their project to the team.
Individualized learning outcomes will be developed collaboratively between the intern and supervisor.
Key Responsibilities and Duties :
- Act as a Career Services' student ambassador and representative. Develop a comprehensive understanding of Career Services and use this knowledge to promote Career Services to MassBay students through in-person and online engagement and peer-to-peer training;
- Create and share social media content and promotional materials to enhance office visibility;
- Assist with the planning, promotion and execution of Career Services events and programming;
- Deliver administrative and operational support to the Career Services team including helping to manage Handshake (job and internship platform) and assisting with Student Development front desk coverage and administrative support as needed;
- Provide outstanding assistance to students interested in and utilizing Career Services, maintain high standards of professionalism and compliance with established conduct;
- Attend weekly 1 : 1 meetings with direct supervisor; and
- Other duties as assigned.

- Consistent and reliable work habits and communication;

- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively and promote Career Services to MassBay students in-person and online.

Additional Information :
Salary Range : $19 per hour
