Job Details
- Regional hospital in the beautiful White Mountains of Arizona has a need for a L&D Travel Nurse.
- Three 12-hour night shifts per week with guaranteed hours and no cancellations.
- With a plethora of outdoor activities and only a couple of hours to Flagstaff and Phoenix, this is the perfect opportunity to experience the best of Arizona!
Job Requirements
- Candidates should have ACLS, BLS, NRP, Fetal Monitoring, at least 3 years of experience, and an active AZ or compact license to apply.
- ACLS, BLS, NRP, Intermediate or advanced Fetal Monitoring Required.
- 2 years of experience required.
- Must be proficient in fetal monitoring and the actions taken for fetal distress.
- Must be able to care for patients with pre-eclampsia.
- Clinical background in high risk patients. Since there is NOT an in-house OB, so the nurses need to be very proficient with their assessment skills and be able to handle OB emergencies until the provider arrives.
- May float to other units of hospital (usually MedSurg) if needed.
- Must be able to function in L&D and couplet care.
Schedule Information
- Start date : ASAP
- Orientation : Every Monday
- Shift & Scheduling : - Nights 6p-6a Days 6a-6p
- Weekend Requirement : 3 weekend shifts per 4 week schedule minimum.
- Floating Requirement : - May float to ED or MS if experienced
- Call : one shift per 4 week schedule
Unit Specific Information
- Respiratory Therapist in unit 24 / 7
- Support staff on unit : Patient Care Technician, Health Unit Secretary
- Nurse manager occasionally see patients (when needed)
- 2 years of experience required
- 3+ years of experience required
- C-section experience required
- Support staff on unit : OB scrub tech, HUC
- OB / Neonatologist not in house
- 24 / 7 pharmacy in house
