SENIOR PROGRAM MANAGER-DATA CENTER GPU

THE ROLE :

In this high-profile role, you will be the overall program leader for key engineering initiatives from concept to execution.

You will work across all of engineering and business to meet overall initiative and / or product objectives.

THE PERSON :

The right candidate will have solid knowledge of technical program management, an outstanding track record of delivering sophisticated software / hardware programs, and will also drive a schedule for business planning towards growth that aligns with business strategy.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Defines, plans, and drives projects and program plans based on management and senior technical guidance.
  • Scopes technical feasibility of new products by clarifying and analyzing requirements with SW / HW Architects, Technical Leads, and Engineers.
  • Develops program schedule by considering various Driver, SW Stack components, and HW / FW dependencies, negotiate and create a staffing plan that supports the schedule.
  • Building, creating, and maintaining a well-developed, managed, and executed program plan is critical.
  • Establishes formal program management artifacts including a plan of record, statements of work, project / program timelines, budget, scope, performance, and quality KPIs.
  • Excellence in resource planning is necessary.
  • Plans for risks in the development path, identifies prevention methods, and addresses them to save on engineering costs.
  • Comfortable working with senior executives is a hard requirement. Must address the needs and requirements called upon from AMD's Engineering, Product Management, and Customer Engineering organizations.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE :

  • Good understanding of requirements management, documentation management, and defect management.
  • Ability to grasp concepts during discussions and turn minutes into action items.
  • Able to communicate concepts and processes with stakeholders.
  • Analytical, self-motivated, organized, detail-oriented, and results-oriented.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to work well with multiple people and teams, ability to communicate progress to team members on a regular basis.
  • Experience working in a high-pressure environment with competing priorities and tight turnaround times.
  • Engineering background preferred.
  • Experience with Microsoft Project, JIRA, Confluence, and Excel is an asset.
  • Experience with Agile methodology.

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS :

Bachelor's degree in computer engineering, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering.
