We are recruiting for an Accounting for a key client, they are a leading distribution company that is growing rapidly. In this position, you will be responsible for supporting the leadership and direction of the company's key financial functions, including accounts receivable (AR), accounts payable (AP), inventory management and overseeing a large team of financial professionals.
Responsibilities :
- Supervise the day-to-day operations of the company's accounting department, specifically AR, AP, and inventory management.
- Oversee the accuracy and timely performance of all accounting functions, including month-end close, financial reporting, and quarterly / yearly audits.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of accounting professionals; fostering a supportive and productive work environment.
- Ensure efficient financial management and accounting processes, including effective integrated systems, that will anticipate growth.
- Evaluate current accounting systems and processes and identify areas of improvement.
- Coordinate with external auditors and manage financial audits.
- Update and implement all necessary business policies and accounting practices; improve upon the finance department's overall policy and procedure manual.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP principles.
Requirements :
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field required (MBA and / or CPA highly desirable).
- Proven experience as an Accounting Manager or similar role in a distribution company.
- Strong understanding of financial accounting, AP, AR, inventory management and payroll processes.
- Prior experience managing a sizeable financial team.
- Strong working knowledge of GAAP.
- Proficiency in MS Office and accounting software
- Exceptional leadership abilities; capable of inspiring productivity and maintaining a positive work environment.
- Excellent analytical skills; strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong time management skills and ability to meet tight deadlines.
