Responsibilities

Oaktree is looking to hire an assistant vice president of compensation to work within the Human Resources function at Oaktree.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to :

Participate in the development, deployment and administration of compensation plans that are fair, competitive, supportive of organizational strategies and compliant with company direction, local laws, pay equity or other statutory requirements

Partner with the Head of Compensation to execute annual compensation processes including, but not limited to, compensation program design, budgeting, implementation of new programs and other ad-hoc requests

Help manage the annual year-end compensation planning process, while partnering with HR business partners and other colleagues to facilitate recommendations and pay actions

Conduct benchmarking analyses using external market surveys; working with external providers and consultants on internal data submissions

Maintain and enhance compensation system for mid-year and year-end compensation cycle

Analyzing, compiling, and synthesizing large amounts of compensation data for historical analysis, forecasting, and reporting

Partner with the Talent team to craft communications related to annual compensation planning, compensation analyses and related initiatives

Support and advise on compensation related activities, including new hire offers, promotions, transfers, budget allocation / forecasting and top talent retention; and

Develop and document procedures to streamline processes and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements

Experience :

A minimum of 5 years or more of post-college experience in internal compensation-related role or compensation consulting

Results and detail oriented / driven, with strong analytical, organizational, and consultancy skills; Ability to draw conclusions, themes, and trends from data analysis and communicate results effectively

Strong verbal and written communication

Experience making data driven decisions, including the ability to analyze & synthesize complex data sets to present a compelling story or theme

Flexible and able to adapt to a fast-paced and changing work environment with a high level of dedication and commitment to quality work product

Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and work under time constraints, managing to due dates and timelines

Ability to work collaboratively and cultivate strong partnerships with HR partners and colleagues

Analytical experience strongly preferred (e.g., numerical research, data analysis, Excel modeling); Proficiency with Microsoft Office required; and

Working knowledge of Workday and / or Beqom software platforms a plus

Education

Bachelor’s degree is required.

Base Salary Range

$145,000 - $170,000

In addition to a competitive base salary, you will be eligible to receive discretionary bonus incentives, a comprehensive benefits package and a flexible work arrangement.

The base salary offered will be commensurate with experience and / or qualifications, industry knowledge and expertise, as well as prior training and education.
