Position Overview :
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join our client's team on a contract basis. The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for managing the semi-monthly payroll process using ADP Workforce Now and Time and Attendance systems.
This role requires a strong understanding of payroll processing, particularly within ADP platforms, and ensures compliance with all relevant regulations.
The position is based onsite in Los Angeles, CA, five days a week.
Key Responsibilities :
- Process semi-monthly payroll accurately and on time using ADP Workforce Now.
- Manage and maintain payroll records, including employee information, deductions, and garnishments.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
- Manage time and attendance data through ADP Time and Attendance, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting of hours worked.
- Address and resolve payroll discrepancies, and respond to employee inquiries related to payroll.
- Collaborate with HR to update and maintain employee records, including new hires, terminations, and changes in employment status.
- Prepare and submit payroll tax reports and payments to appropriate agencies.
- Assist with payroll audits and provide necessary documentation as required.
- Stay updated on changes in payroll laws and ADP system updates to ensure ongoing compliance and efficiency.
Qualifications :
- Associates degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of payroll processing experience, specifically with ADP Workforce Now and Time and Attendance systems.
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
