Qualifications :

  • Licensed mental health professional (LSW, LCSW, or LPC) required
  • A Master's Degree
  • Documented training and experience in positive behavior supports, team coordination, agency collaboration, applied and cognitive behavioral counseling

A vacancy exists for the 2023-2024 school year a Mental Health Clinician at Weehawken HS.

Duties & Responsibilities :

This position is responsible for facilitating and providing direct therapeutic interventions consisting of group and individual therapy, treatment planning, designing and implementing effective interventions and strategies to promote therapeutic recovery and crisis / risk assessment.

The therapist is the lead team member responsible for coordinating therapeutic intervention. The therapist will be responsible for completing required documentation such as treatment and discharge plans, psycho-social history, daily progress notes, and insurance forms.

The therapist maintains close communication with the child's parent(s) to monitor and promote progress.
