Neurodiagnostic Technologist
Job Description
Neurodiagnostic Services performs a wide variety of electroneurodiagnostic procedures on patients with suspected neurologic injury and disease and monitors patients for seizure or other neurological disorders.
Prepares patients for testing, performs testing and collects information pertinent to the interpretation of test results in EEG, Electromyography (EMG), Autonomics, Epilepsy Monitory (EMU) and Evoked Potentials (EP).
Minimum Requirements
Recommended one of the following :
- One year healthcare experience
- One year Neurodiagnostic experience
- Associates degree
- Associates Degree in END Technology
- RPSGT Certificate
On going : It is recommended that Neurodiagnostic Technologist obtain registry (R.EEG.T / R.EP.T / R.NCS.T / CAP or CNIM) once eligible according to guidelines though ABRET, AAET, or AANEM and obtain Basic Life Support certification.
