Job Overview :

We are seeking a skilled Quality Engineer to join our team and ensure the highest standards of product quality. This role will involve leading quality control processes, handling customer quality issues, and driving continuous improvement initiatives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

You will be responsible for performing PPAPs, creating Control Plans, and interpreting GD&T to ensure compliance with customer specifications.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Develop, implement, and maintain Control Plans, FMEAs, and other quality documentation.
  • Lead and coordinate Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) submissions.
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to resolve quality issues.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure all quality standards are met during the manufacturing process.
  • Interpret and apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) to ensure precision in design and manufacturing.
  • Conduct quality audits, both internal and external, to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Analyze and present quality performance data, including process capability studies and statistical analysis.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing defects and improving product consistency.
  • Train staff on quality procedures and tools to ensure consistency across the production line.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field preferred
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in quality engineering, preferably in manufacturing
  • Experience with PPAPs, Control Plans, and GD&T preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong knowledge of quality systems and tools, such as ISO standards, APQP, and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Previous experience in the automotive or high-volume manufacturing industry preferred.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
