A leading nationwide insurance carrier is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Insurance Defense Trial Attorney to join our legal team.
The ideal candidate must have a proven track record in handling insurance defense litigation, particularly in trial settings.
This role requires strong litigation expertise, comprehensive knowledge of California laws, and excellent trial advocacy skills.
Key Responsibilities :
- Represent the company in insurance defense litigation, including conducting trials, hearings, depositions, and motion practice.
- Develop and implement defense strategies to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.
- Handle complex cases involving personal injury, property damage, and other claims covered under insurance policies.
- Collaborate with claims professionals, insureds, and experts to assess legal strategies and ensure optimal defense.
- Manage all aspects of trial preparation, including discovery, legal research, and drafting of pleadings and motions.
- Provide legal advice and risk assessments to internal stakeholders regarding potential litigation and trial exposure.
Qualifications :
- Must be a member in good standing with the California State Bar.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in insurance defense litigation, including trial experience.
- Extensive knowledge of California civil procedure, insurance law, and relevant case law.
- Strong courtroom presence and ability to argue cases effectively in front of a jury.
- Excellent legal writing, research, and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage a caseload independently and work collaboratively within a team.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and other legal professionals.
- Must be located in either LA County, San Bernardino County, Riverside County, or Orange County
