Our client is a $x0M series B SaaS startup that is backed by prestigious VC firm and is looking for an accounting manager to join their team due to growth.
This role is 100% remote; however, the candidate must be based in the west coast. Please ensure that you meet the location requirements and upload your resume to be considered.
What you’ll be doing :
Financial Reporting - Prepare and review accurate and timely financial statements, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
Ensure compliance with GAAP and other relevant accounting standards. Own month end close and GL management.
- Revenue Recognition - Manage SaaS revenue recognition processes in accordance with ASC 606. Oversee billing, collections, and revenue forecasting.
- Account Reconciliation - Perform regular reconciliations of accounts, including bank, general ledger, and other financial accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Budgeting & Forecasting - Assist in the preparation of budgets, financial forecasts, and variance analysis. Provide insights and recommendations for financial planning and strategy.
- Audit & Compliance - Coordinate internal and external audits, ensuring timely completion and resolution of audit findings.
Maintain documentation and adherence to internal controls and compliance requirements.
- Team Leadership - Manage and mentor accounting staff, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance and professional development.
- Work directly with upper-level management, including oversight of financial performance to VC investors on a monthly basis. What you’ll need :
- Bachelor’s (or Master’s) degree in Accounting
- CPA, Big 4 background
- 5 years minimum experience, with at least 1-2 years as a senior accountant for a Company within the SaaS industry
- Multilocation and / or multi-product pricing model will set you apart from the competition
- Experience with QB a plus, if you have implemented a larger EPR (e.g., NetSuite, Oracle, etc.), even better
- Assisted with the scale of a business and have the ability to interact cross-functionally
- Prior IPO experience or exit from VC, Series B+ preferred
- Extensive knowledge of U.S. GAAP What is in it for you :
