As a Manager of Software Engineering at JPMorgan Chase within the Corporate Investment Banking Securities, you lead multiple teams and manage day-to-day implementation activities by identifying and escalating issues and ensuring your team’s work adheres to compliance standards, business requirements, and tactical best practices.
We are passionate about solving business problems through innovation and engineering practices. As a Test Innovation Lead role, you will be driving our agenda to build a data-driven solution for test automation across multiple workflows and products within Securities Services.
Job Responsibilities
- Provides guidance to immediate team of software engineers on daily tasks and activities
- Sets the overall guidance and expectations for team output, practices, and collaboration
- Anticipates dependencies with other teams to deliver products and applications in line with business requirements
- Manages stakeholder relationships and the team’s work in accordance with compliance standards, service level agreements, and business requirements
- Creates a culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect for the team members and prioritizes diverse representation
- Apply your securities back office processing experience to implement test innovation strategies across multiple workflows and applications
- Prioritize items across multiple workstreams and resolve any risks
- Work daily with test automation engineers to design and test innovation frameworks
- Build and implement the strategy of functional and non-functional testing to ensure the resiliency and performance of the system
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Formal training or certification on leading technology projects concepts and advanced applied experience, along with demonstrated coaching and mentoring experience
- Experience leading technology projects
- Experience managing technologists
- Proficient in automation and continuous delivery methods
- Hands-on experience with requirement analysis, automated test design, test scripts creation, one-click test execution, and validation
- Experience with ISO15022 and ISO20022 SWIFT and XML messages
- Ability to lead in large, collaborative teams to achieve organizational goals
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Experience in Machine Learning and Data Science toolsets or data analytics tools such as Tableau is desirable
- Experience in the Securities Processing business for either Trade Life Cycle Processing or Corporate Actions or both (preferred)
