Job Title : Registered Nurse (RN)
Job Specialty : Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU)
Job Duration : 12 months
Shift : Days, 12 hours, 7 a.m. - 7 p.m.
Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours per week
Experience : Minimum 2 years of current CVICU experience, including open-heart experience
License : Valid Illinois nursing license required
Certifications : ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA)
Must-Have :
COVID and FLU vaccinations (declinations not approved)
Job Description :
- Assess physiological, emotional, and spiritual needs of each patient within the assigned unit.
- Plan and execute nursing care to meet patient needs.
- Lead and / or supervise subordinate personnel to see that care plans are implemented effectively.
- Conduct patient evaluations and document progress.
- Engage in treatment planning and discharge functions.
- Prior experience with Cerner (strongly preferred).
- Preferred experience in thoracic, vascular, and interventional care.
- Ensure active certifications and licenses are maintained.
- Participate in a flexible on-call and weekend schedule as determined by the facility.
