Position Overview

As a Service Technician, you will troubleshoot, test, repair and maintain brewing and serving equipment in a workshop environment.

Our customers rely on quality, clean and reliable equipment to enjoy great tasting community coffee products every day.

Function Related Activities / Key Responsibilities

Prioritizes and schedules repair of brewing equipment

Inspects used parts to determine change in dimensional requirements

Observes mechanical devices in operation and listens to their sounds to troubleshoot

Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts

Examines form and texture of parts to detect imperfections

Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments

Repairs or replaces defective parts. Installs special functional and structural parts in devices. Lubricates and cleans parts

Starts devices to test their performance

Responsible for managing all parts inventory

May be requested to perform different or additional duties as assigned

Position Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent required

Passing score on aptitude test required in lieu of high school diploma or equivalent.

2 years' related experience in electrical or small appliance repair- HVAC a plus

Experience with Community Coffee, even if unrelated, may fulfill this requirement at the discretion of the hiring manager with approval from Human Resources.

Familiarity with electrical and mechanical fundamentals

Valid driver's license or valid federal, state or local ID card

Knowledge of plumbing and electrical fundamentals

Successful completion of pre-employment physical.

• Field Sales Environment : While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts;
• in high, precarious places; and in outside weather conditions and is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles;

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, but may be moderately loud in warehouse areas.
