Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Outpatient Physical Therapist with an active Colorado license, BLS, and at least two years of recent experience.

Responsibilities

  • Work in an outpatient rehab therapy setting
  • Schedule consists of four 10-hour shifts per week, with varying weekdays and mandatory Saturday coverage
  • Assignment duration is 13 weeks
  • Patient population will cover a variety of diagnoses requiring physical therapy intervention
  • Key responsibilities include evaluating patients, developing and implementing treatment plans, and providing patient and caregiver education on home exercise programs
  • You will focus on improving strength, range of motion, balance, safety, and function for a diverse outpatient caseload
  • Newly remodeled, fully furnished studio and one-bedroom apartments available for travelers near the facility, subject to availability and additional cost
  • No pets are allowed in provided housing accommodations
  • Work schedule leaves three days a week for personal activities

    • Requirements

  • Current Colorado PT license or a compact PT license for Colorado is required if applicable
  • Minimum of 2 years' recent experience as a Physical Therapist, 3-5 years preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy required
  • Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association is required
  • Flu vaccination required for assignments between October 1 and April 1 with no declinations accepted
  • Candidates’ permanent address must be at least 75 miles from the facility
