Position Description : The Benefit Implementation Specialist is responsible to provide administrative and analytical support to the benefits program, processes and system improvement initiates.
This role serves as an internal subject matter expert to the benefits team. This is an in-office position. Position Responsibilities : 100.
00% - Responsibility #1 - Benefit Liaison
tSet up and implement online open enrollment.
tGathers and verifies benefit information from client.
tEvaluates and determines new benefit set up feasibility and discuss with internal leadership.
tAct as Liaison and Subject Matter Expert between insurance agencies, internal staff and clients.
Responsibility #2 - Benefit Auditing
tContribute to the auditing and quality process for benefit implementations. This will ensure that all setup, including deductions, plans, benefits and all other information regarding the group have been created and provided prior to passing to the Benefits Team (assigned BA).
tAudit / Test and verify that all benefits, deductions, and any other necessary information is properly set up in the system.
tAudit groups / plan set up.
tReview all policies and documentation for accuracy and quality standards.
Responsibility #3 - Personal Development
tKeeps up to date on changes to benefit law / regulations and state and federal law through continuing education and publications.
tContinues to learn and grow as a Benefits professional through continuing education.
tCompletes all mandatory training by established deadline.
tShare ideas that will help you and / or the company grow.
tAdditional job duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities : Benefits Implementation Specialist - t3 to 5 years work experience in Benefits or related field required.
tExperience in PEO (Professional Employer Organization) preferred.
tHighly ethical with the ability to understand and review state and federal law, as well as company policies and procedures.
tUnderstanding of basic ACA regulations principles
tKnowledge of federal and state compliance requirements
tProficient in Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
tEffective communication, both verbal and written
