We are currently seeking a contracted paraprofessional to join our team with Utica Community Schools. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with students, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other school staff.
Responsibilities :
- Assist students with academic and social-emotional needs
- Support classroom instruction and management
- Implement individualized education plans (IEPs) as directed by the teacher or special education team
- Collaborate with teachers and other school staff to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Attend staff meetings and professional development opportunities as required
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of student progress and behavior
Requirements :
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's degree preferred)
- Previous experience working with students in an educational setting
- Ability to pass a background check and obtain any necessary clearances
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other school staff
- Ability to work independently and adapt to changing situations
This is a contracted position with a competitive hourly rate ($20+). The schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, with hours to be determined by the school's needs.
