POSITION SUMMARY

As a Senior Production Project Manager, your job is multifaceted. You will lead internal production project management on large-scale projects with the support of junior staff.

You will independently lead production project management on small to mid-scale projects. You are responsible for a project's internal and external production objectives, ensuring deliverables are delivered within the agreed scope, time, cost, and quality.

You are crucial in communicating project status to internal departments, clients, external partners and vendors.

SENIOR PRODUCTION PROJECT MANAGER RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Track overall budgets for large-scale projects as provided by Lead PM
  • Have consistent and ongoing budgetary accountability for the profitability of projects
  • Handle multiple mid to small-scale projects with or without a Lead PM
  • Create ROMs, estimates, and schedules
  • Ensure all projects are delivered within the agreed scope, time, cost, and quality
  • Delegate tasks / projects to junior PMs
  • Maintain close management to ensure projects stay on track
  • Coordinate daily with the Lead PM regarding the status of the project, budget, schedule
  • Communicate updates, statuses, and changes in real-time to Lead PM
  • Communicate daily with lead PM on information needed or delays in internal departments
  • Communicate multiple times daily in morning production meetings about the status of your deliverables, roadblocks, delays, etc.
  • Create and submit work orders
  • Escalate any major issues to the Director of PM
  • Oversee installs either directly or indirectly through junior PMs
  • Coordinate logistics of installs with lead PM, install team, junior PMs
  • Manage junior PMs on the following tasks for larger projects or on smaller projects, perform the following :
  • Issue Quote requests to vendors
  • Write / Issue POs to vendors / send appropriate information & artwork to get a job into production
  • Track jobs once in production, ensuring the lead PM is up to date and all information has been communicated to all parties with urgency
  • Advise and escalate alerts of due dates, errors, and / or changes that would cause delays or potential customer dissatisfaction
  • Ensure and assist the build process with shop operations (sourcing, materials, purchasing, calendar, reporting, etc.)
  • Confer with establishment personnel and vendors to coordinate production or shipping activities and to resolve complaints or eliminate delays
  • Revise production schedules when required due to design changes, labor or material shortages, backlogs, or other interruptions, collaborating with management, production, or engineering
  • Communicate expectations for each project's schedule and deliverables with the assigned team
  • Examine documents, materials, or products and monitor work processes to assess completeness, accuracy, and conformance to standards and specifications
  • When working with outside Installers ensure the approved SPMD Installer Packet is sent to the Installer and sent back to us fully completed with all necessary paperwork before issuing a PO
  • Follow company procedures for obtaining and maintaining current COIs from installers at all times
  • Assist in coordinating shipping, obtaining shipping quotes, and creating shipper requests
  • Coordinate design and production turnover within respective departments

Work Environment / Physical Demands

Normal office temperature-controlled conditions with quiet to moderate noise levels and little exposure to heat, dust, or fumes.
