About The Position

Locum Anesthesiologist Opportunity – Dunkirk, NY

A hospital in Dunkirk is seeking a board-certified Anesthesiologist for locum coverage. This assignment offers flexible scheduling with weekday shifts and optional call support. Providers must be comfortable with orthopedic blocks and a mix of hands-on and supervisory roles. A holiday bonus is available for coverage during Christmas week.

Assignment Details :

Location : Dunkirk, NY

Start Date : November 13, 2025

Shift : Day shift, 5x8-hour (7 : 00 AM – 3 : 30 PM)

State License : NY (required)

Board Certification : Required

DEA Registration : Required

Certifications : BLS, ACLS

Scheduling & Call :

Weekday Coverage : 8-hour guarantee per day

High-Need Dates : November 13–14, December 22–26

Call Requirements : Optional; CRNAs cover in-house call

Call Type : MDs may assist with weeknights or weekends

Supervision : Mix of hands-on and supervision; CRNAs work independently on call

Clinical Details :

Case Types : Orthopedic blocks required; no OB

Support Staff : 1 MD, 4 CRNAs

Charting System : Meditech and paper

Patient Population : Adults

Credentialing Timeframe : 60 days
