The Certified Medical Assistant provides direct, age-specific care to a patient or group of patients based on medical orders and the plan of care under the direction of the physician.
The Ambulatory Float Pool is comprised of multiple specialty practices across our clinic locations in the Richmond area. Our team members support adult and / or pediatric patient populations across a wide range of specialties such as Urology, Neurology, Dermatology, Women’s Health, Orthopedics and more offering the unique opportunity to work with a variety of teams and develop a diverse skill set.
You will work hours Monday-Friday 8am-5pm and float across VCU Health clinics. No weekends or nights required. Mileage reimbursement may be available for distances beyond 25 miles from our downtown VCU Medical Center.
At least 1 year of RN experience is required.
Licensure, Certification, or Registration Requirements for Hire :
Current Medical Assistant Certification through a recognized national professional association such as, the American Association of Medical Assistants, the American Medical Technologists, The National Association of Healthcare Professions, the American Registry of Medical Assistants, or the National Healthcare Association.
