The Excess Liability Division specializes in offering large limits of liability to protect its clients' corporate assets from catastrophic loss.
The Division offers significant capacity of up to $50 million dollars for both Lead Umbrella and Excess Liability placements.
This protection is made available to companies varying in size from single location light hazard risks to a wide variety of more difficult to place manufacturers and processors
We are open to candidates in either Brunswick NJ, or Cincinnati OH.
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities
Investigates and maintains claims : Generally conducts initial handling on newly reported excess liability casesReviews and evaluates coverage and / or liability.
Secures and analyzes necessary information (i.e., reports, policies, appraisals, releases, statements, reports, or other documents) in the investigation of claims.
- May work toward the resolution of claims files, and may attend arbitrations, mediations, depositions or trials as necessary.
- May affect settlements / reserves within prescribed limits and submit recommendations to supervisor on cases exceeding personal authority.
- Conveys moderately complex information (coverage, decisions, outcomes, etc.) to all appropriate parties, maintaining a professional demeanor in all situations.
- Ensures that claims payments are issued in a timely and accurate manner.
- Ensures that claims handling is conducted in compliance with applicable statutes, regulations and other legal requirements, and that all applicable company procedures and policies are followed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
Education : Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
Field of Study : Liberal Arts, Business or a related discipline.
Experience : Generally looking for 3 to 5 years of related experience. Generally looking for someone who has handled mid-six figure cases on commercial auto and general liability policies, and has experience with excess carriers in the marketplace.
