We are seeking a CNC Mill Operator Machinist to join our team! As a CNC Mill Operator Machinist you will edit existing programs, perform set up and operate numerically controlled machinery to produce quality parts at cost and on time.

It requires expertise and proficiency to effectively, setup and operate VMC, HMC utilizing 3,4 or 5 axis as required. Key Experience Needed : High school diploma or equivalent with a technical school education and working machinist knowledge or equivalent numerical control machining skills experience required Minimum 2 years’ experience required Ability to read and interpret work related machine drawings.

Ability to perform average to complicated mathematical calculations and resolve elementary technical problems. Preferred experience is a low volume, prototype or one-off machining environment.

Setups and quality 1st piece off is extremely important. Expertise in multiple machine tools, e.g., CNC complex or multi-axis Lathe, CNC complex or multi-axis Mill, Manual Lathe, Manual Mill Position Responsibilities : Perform machine setup duties, including identifying and using fixtures and holding devices, selecting and setting tools with tool offsets.

Operate the machine safely and effectively, monitoring operations and making necessary adjustments to programs, holding devices, or tooling to ensure quality parts.

Understand cutting tools and their functions, working from work orders, prints, sketches, layout sheets, and written or verbal instructions.

Produce parts within tolerances of .0002 , working independently without supervision or technical assistance. Recognize material reactions to various materials such as stainless steel, alloy steel, cast iron, brass, thermoplastics, and exotics.

Inspect work using micrometers, bore gauges, calipers, and other measuring instruments to verify conformance to specifications.

Perform daily and preventative maintenance tasks, including maintaining coolant concentrations, ensuring proper axis movement and chip removal, and reporting any abnormalities like loose bolts, leaks, or unusual noises.
