We’re hiring a Chief of Staff (CoS) to partner with the General Manager of Consumer Company, a parent-focused consumer app that helps families transition young children to solid foods. This is a hands-on operating role focused on operations, HR / people, internal communications, and project / program management. You’ll install the operating cadence, professionalize internal processes, and drive cross-functional initiatives that improve activation, retention, and customer experience.
Responsibilities
- Operating Cadence & Business Rhythm (40%)
- Stand up the weekly KPI pack and meeting rhythm; drive monthly close / variance and quarterly planning.
- Build lightweight dashboards and single-owner accountability for growth, CX, and content operations.
- Partner with Beacon's accounting teams to tighten AR / AP processes and vendor management; maintain an up-to-date cash and staffing view for the GM.
- People, HR & Culture (25%)
- Build structured hiring pipelines and interview scorecards; coordinate searches across functions.
- Own onboarding (Day-1 to Day-30), performance / OKR cycles, compensation change packets, and policy / benefits calendar in coordination with Beacon.
- Continue and expand on the company's positive culture as the team scales.
- Internal Communications (15%)
- Produce and manage all internal and Beacon communication channels which may include a weekly GM note to the company and to Beacon, all-hands agendas, decision log, and change announcements.
- Keep the product / content / support / growth loop tight via briefs, release notes, and post-mortems.
- Project & Program Management (20%)
- Run the cross-functional portfolio : define goals, owners, schedules, and measures of success.
- Drive GM-originated initiatives such as activation funnel experiments, support SLA improvements, content production workflow, and launch calendars.
- Proactively identify risks / dependencies and clear blockers fast.

The other activities may include :Serve as the GM’s right hand for planning, prioritization, and follow-through.Translate ambiguous goals into clear projects with single DRIs and timelines.Coordinate cross-team work (product, content, support, growth) and hold owners to agreed SLAs.Prepare concise materials for stakeholders (weekly KPIs, monthly operating updates, quarterly plans).Standardize back-office tooling and usage (finance, payroll / benefits, docs, project tracker).Capture insights from CX / support and feed them into the roadmap and growth experiments.Qualifications

6–10+ years in operations / people / PMO / Chief of Staff roles at a consumer app, marketplace, or SaaS / VMS business.Strong operating finance fluency (budgets, cash, AR / AP) and experience implementing back-office systems.Proven program management with cross-functional teams; adept at turning strategy into crisp plans and measurable outcomes.Excellent written communication and executive presence; comfortable handling sensitive HR and change-management topics.Bias to action, high ownership individual who thrives in small, autonomous teams.Bonus : experience with consumer subscription funnels, activation / retention, and customer support operations.Chief of Staff or Business Operations lead at a consumer app or SaaS company.Senior program / operations manager ready for a step-up role with broader scope.Ex-consultant / operator with strong client-handling skills and execution chops.What You Will Get From Beacon
