Sr. Staff, PLM Systems Architect

Job Description

The Aero IT Solutions Architect sets the overall technology direction of the product / group by leveraging common architectural patterns, building and maintaining a future-state blueprint of product architecture, and sponsoring innovation.

Collaborates across Enterprise IT and the Business Functions to understand business needs and objectives.

The F-35 program is transitioning from its current Legacy PLM platform (Teamcenter Enterprise) to a more modern PLM platform (Teamcenter Xcelerator) so that its Digital Thread can be better realized and integrated across the program and enterprise.

As the Chief Enterprise Architect develops the Digital Transformation roadmap, the PLM Systems Architect will design solutions that align with that roadmap and target the immediate and long-term business needs of the F-35 Program.

The PLM Systems Architect interfaces with the Chief Enterprise Architect and the PLM Chief Engineer and must be self-motivated with a strong work ethic, time-management, and interpersonal skills.

Frequent interaction with Program and Engineering personnel require effective communication skills both oral and written.

Desired skills

• Experience with F-35 program design release process.
• Practical knowledge of PLM systems and supporting software : Siemens Teamcenter, eQube-MI, eQube-BI, Decisions
• Deep understanding of the current and future technology architecture, including inter-operability of technologies
• Knowledge of how to balance the competing needs of the business, technology feasibility, and user experience
