SUBFUNCTION DEFINITION : Help support Cincinnati Children’s vision to be a global leader in improving child health through being the leader in advising organizations on how to develop, implement, and improve programs and policies that support young adults with disabilities.
Develop new Project SEARCH programs to support department strategic goals and develop relationships with national and international providers, governmental agencies, and business and industry partners.
Network, develop, and maintain relationships with existing and prospective Project SEARCH teams to include an array of national and international healthcare providers, universities, governmental agencies, research organizations, and other industry partners.
Scope : Large volume and / or Complexity of Projects. Complexity defined as a combination of project expenses per year; and number of stakeholders for full projects or assigned portions of projects.
REPRESENTATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES
Project Management Consultation & Process / Quality Improvement
- Collaborates with others to connect, implement and evaluate project plans nationally and internationally.
- Offer expert consultation to organizational leaders, HR departments, and other stakeholders on disability-related issues.
This might include advising on reasonable accommodations, accessibility improvements, or inclusive hiring practices.
- Identify, develop, and implement new methods, processes, and systems to improve and facilitate the team's work.
- Identify ways to improve data quality and usability and to streamline and enhance reporting processes and / or deliverables.
- Identify and recommend procedures to enhance or maintain a high level of effectiveness in projects.
- Work with Project SEARCH teams to monitor and document information related to the projects.
- Assist in defining measurements and outcomes.
- May assist with both facilitation of teams assigned to the project and direct management of project management resources.
- Coach and mentor Project SEARCH site team members.
Project Management Leadership
- Identify potential opportunities and partners, establish appropriate contacts, plan and execute respective site visits, develop appropriate agreements, and monitor activities to ensure successful compliance with terms of agreement.
- Create educational materials, guidelines, and toolkits to promote disability employment and inclusion.
- Engage clients and stakeholders, negotiate project scope as needed, and communicate with client throughout the project.
- Identify resources needed, such as information, expertise, personnel, and problem-solve gaps.
- Lead Project SEARCH site teams while assuming final responsibility for the result.
Data Analysis / Reporting
- Utilize the Project SEARCH Portal and Desktop to measure and monitor performance and collaborative activities and exchanges with an assigned portfolio of partners and prospective teams.
- Prepare reports for leadership, funders, and teams that highlight program successes, challenges, and areas for future development.
- Utilize project management tool to increase efficiency of program implementation.
Communication & Relationship Management
- Manage communication to and relationships with key project stakeholders.
- Compose, edit, and deliver written and verbal communications.
- Facilitate small group discussions. Keep team members appropriately informed.
Strategic Planning
- Incorporate best practices and evidence-based strategies in program design, ensuring they are aligned with current research and industry standards.
- Strategize with project, program and department leadership to develop plans to advance objectives.
- Work in collaboration to establish goals and objectives, prioritize key objectives and work with the team to meet the goals and objectives.
- Strategize and recommend infrastructure necessary to execute selected projects & processes.
Qualifications
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
Required :
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience in the Disability Services’ field
- 6 years related experience
- Ability to travel (nationally and internationally) up to 50% of
