Our client, a thriving immigration law firm is looking for a great remote Paralegal to add to their team. They work with a variety of Bay Area organizations, focused especially on successful start-ups.
As a boutique firm, they specialize in high-touch, personalized service to their clients. Having a positive, can-do attitude, with a solid work ethic are characteristics embodied by the existing team, and required for those joining the team.
Responsibilities
- Successfully work with competing priorities, meeting time-sensitive deadlines
- Experience preparing and filing immigration petitions (ex : H1-B, TN, L-1, E, PERM, I-140, etc.)
- Case management - working directly with clients via phone and email keeping all parties up to date
- Proactively follow-up on inquiries and requests from clients and government agencies
- Office management duties including organization, filing, etc.
Requirements
- 4-year Bachelor's Degree
- 2+ years experience in employment-based immigration law
- Excellent writing / grammar skills, including top-notch proof-reading capabilities
- Authentic and trustworthy personality (sense of humor is a plus!)
- Proven experience completing cases under the guidance of supervising attorneys
- Ability to work well with others
- A sincere desire to be a value-add to the team, and help make a positive difference
